PicoTorrent

PicoTorrent will help you download torrents onto your Windows-powered computer. This application is a torrent client that’s light on system resources, features a minimalist interface, can import uTorrent torrents, and can handle torrent files as well as magnet links.

PicoTorrent is available as an installer for 32- and 64-bit Windows editions, as a portable application for 32- and 64-bit Windows editions, and as an app for Windows 10 (available for download from the Windows Store, where it’s priced at $4.99).

The interface is just what you would expect from a torrent client. The main panel displays a list of torrents, complete with details such as ETA, download speed, upload speed, ratio, seeds, peers, and progress. If you don’t want a particular detail, you can hide it way.

The Preferences menu lets you play with lots of settings: change the interface language, set it so PicoTorrent automatically runs at startup, have PicoTorrent minimize to the tray, set download and upload limits, choose where to move completed downloads, and more.

Using torrent client isn’t hard and this is definitely true of PicoTorrent. Just open a torrent file and let PicoTorrent do its thing. If you’re on a good internet connection, the download will complete in a few moments. If not, you’re in for a wait. Let PicoTorrent work in the background and go do something else while the download completes.
